Joan of Brittany, Baroness of Drayton

Jeanne de Montfort, also known as Jeanne de Bretagne and Jeanne de Montfort, 1341 - November 8, 1402 was the sister of John V, Duke of Brittany.

Biography

Her parents were John de Montfort, Duke of Brittany, and Joanna of Flanders. She grown up in England together with her brother, John of Montfort, and king's Edward III children. At the age of 39 she married to Ralph Basset, the 3d Baron of Drayton. In 1398 she was set as a Constable of Richmond Castle by the will of Richard II, the King of England. Jeanne died on November 8, 1402, and was buried at Lavendon Abbey, Buckinghamshire.
